Why do human beings seem angrier?
The coordinates of conflict:
coercion—artificial intelligence—the absence or suppression of artistic intelligence
Perhaps what we are witnessing is the expression of outrage, a reaction to the incredible techno-expansion of human regulatory mechanisms. Governments in lockstep with the corporate initiatives that have been cultivated and implemented over the last 50-60 years. The global tech-expansion has increased with even greater velocity over the last ten years or so. Now we have arrived at the moment where we have the non-choice: to embrace SMART city operational constructs, with the promise of ease and comfort at the expense of individual sovereignty and privacy. And no doubt, many younger members of the human tribe will elect to go with the Big Bro construct due to an ingrained reliance on microwaveable nutrition options and the convenience of a debit card, or the embedded chip.
SMART cities are the darker choice, which requires little effort—only acquiescence. Those of us who bristle at such an outcome are preparing to don the armor of Jedi warriors and are envisioning a leap off the Grid—and are even willing to forgo the hot pockets and packaged convenience foods—as long as we don’t have to settle for cricket bars.
Brave we are in spirit. Yoda would support our choice to eschew the dictates of the Grid and the Beast that rules it. I wonder what Yoda would have to say about “Woke?”
I’ll try to channel Yoda….
“Hmmmm…and you who believe that there was never a time before Now, and that humans have never considered deeper philosophical ideas regarding identity— and what it means to be a Human Being…You who have barely evolved from diaper-clad infants into adult potential now propose to Teach all those who have lived longer than you, and experienced more than you, and have pondered many questions regarding the human condition and the universal mysteries…You say that We who are older—and perhaps wiser?— are unable to see why you feel confused and angry…? Many details lie here…best not to jump to conclusions, grasshopper.”
What is Now…or when is Now?
The Establishment— the System
“The Establishment” is what my cohorts called the Beast, back in the day when Rock and Roll mattered. Back when reading William Burroughs and Vonnegut were cool. Back when we’d smoke some pot or hash and read the Whole Earth Catalog—and Liberal wasn’t a dirty word. “The System” was a much abused term that remained somewhat ill-defined and enigmatic, as in: (when referring to the condition called SNAFU—situation normal all fucked up) “Man—like ya know, it’s the system.”
Nowadays, The System— in practical terms, may easily be compared to The Matrix. The “Hidden hand” is what some writers called the ruling cabal towards the latter part of the 19th century. In some form, the hidden hand may also be defined specifically as the elite power-base who manage the ‘global perception factory’ which is regulated via the Press, or Media, or Social Media. This beast also seems strangely animated in a way that transcends mere human control and political subterfuge—which takes us back to the idea that the simulacrum is infected by malware. The bible-thumpers might call the ‘infection’, the “devil.” Which is alright by me—because all manner of deception and deceit are demonic in my purview. “Anti-human”, as short hand. Not to be overly redundant, I’ve pondered aspects of this in previous articles, but not yet from the perspective of WOKE.
Defining WOKE:
Miriam-Webster Dictionary: aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)
Then there’s this:
Woke (/ˈwoʊk/ WOHK)
“is an English adjective meaning "alert to racial prejudice and discrimination" that originated in African-American Vernacular English (AAVE). Beginning in the 2010s, it came to encompass a broader awareness of social inequalities such as sexism, and has also been used as shorthand for American Left ideas involving identity politics and social justice, such as the notion of white privilege and slavery reparations for African Americans.
The phrase ‘stay woke’ had emerged in AAVE by the 1930s, in some contexts referring to an awareness of the social and political issues affecting African Americans. The phrase was uttered in a recording by Lead Belly and later by Erykah Badu. Following the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri in 2014, the phrase was popularised by Black Lives Matter (BLM) activists seeking to raise awareness about police shootings of African Americans. After seeing use on Black Twitter, the term woke became an Internet meme and was increasingly used by white people, often to signal their support for BLM, which some commentators have criticised as cultural appropriation. Mainly associated with the millennial generation, the term spread internationally and was added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2017.
The terms woke capitalism and woke-washing were coined to describe companies who signal support for progressive causes as a substitute for genuine change. By 2020, parts of the political center and right wing in several Western countries were using the term woke, often in an ironic way, as an insult for various progressive or leftist movements and ideologies perceived as overzealous, performative, or insincere. In turn, some commentators came to consider it an offensive term with negative associations to those who promote political ideas involving identity and race.”

Quick recap:
“ ‘Woke’ is a word found all over social media and the news – being used as praise, but far more commonly as an insult, depending on the situation.”
To quote an article in METRO: What does being woke mean and is it an insult? ‘Wokeism’ explained—
“Ricky Gervais recently said he hopes to live long enough to see the current generation ‘cancelled’ by a generation more ‘woke’ than it.”
And this use of Woke as an insult is a good thing from where I stand—I really don’t need a corporate ESG rating system to award me social credit score points for how perfect and politically correct my manner of speaking and behavior appear to the Beast that is surveilling me 24/7. That’s a point of discernment I don’t think too many snowflake-gen folks understand as of yet—but they will in time, and then it’ll be too late.
A good social credit score means you’ll be allowed to travel!
Another reason why WOKE is a pejorative term (albeit useful shorthand) is related to the current rise of neo-Bolshevism—which corresponds with the rise of cancel-culture antics, like tearing down historic statues masterfully crafted by artist-sculptors.
What if folks labeled Mozart as: a “Monarchist’s stooge”, or “King’s pet” and therefore we need to burn all of Wolfgang’s manuscripts, and destroy all recordings of his music? He was after all, commissioned to create much of his greatest works of art. Princes paid him a handsome fee to compose his incredible oevre. And he even lived(as a guest composer) in one of the most opulent palaces of its time—or any time for that matter—I’ve been there and it’s astonishing! The Schoenbrun Palace in Vienna makes Mar-a-Lago seem like a cheap motel by comparison. The point being—Mozart was feted and given an allowance by his wealthy Royal patrons. And the Hapsburgs are considered to be one of the original ruling elite family bloodlines no less. [The term “Illuminati” applies—which doesn’t mean that Wolfgang was one of them.]
The Beast has many faces…
[The Chicago Council on Global Affairs?…hmmm]
Recently we endured an exaggerated pandemic which caused financial chaos and small business failures in its wake. The controlled chaos syndrome is evidence for the artificial linear/binary code that regulates human behavior—FEAR is persuasive. Binary coding should not be confused with gender basics, as in: Male/Female(i.e.—a woman has a womb.)
The resulting social dysphoria and linguistic dysfunction re trans-arguments are factually irrelevant—and yet, purposeful when considering the rise of neo-Bolshevism.
dysphoria |disˈfôrēə|
noun Psychiatry
“a state of unease or generalized dissatisfaction with life. The opposite of euphoria.”
The detail regarding this definition of dysphoria—generalized dissatisfaction with life—brings a number of questions to mind that prompt reflection: Who has never experienced a dissatisfaction with life? …Maybe the time we didn’t win the ward at school, or as a member of the cub scouts? Or perhaps when we were angst-ridden teens wondering about our future as adults in a really crazy world? …as if this has never happened before. The difference in 2022, is that we have quick fixes for everything that we might call “unsatisfactory life” details.
Now—when we get a flu or a virus, just get a quick and easy jab. “A little jab will do ya!”
Have a desire to escape your cruddy little apartment—put on the VR goggles and join the Metaverse! Tired of your station in life? …Put on a disguise and dye your hair blue—Voila!…You’re now a unicorn! Don’t feel like a sexy girl or a cool dude, just cut off your penis and flatten those breasts! Tired of the liars for hire on TV and those rascally corrupt politicians—create a scapegoat and play the blame game.
And yet within the narrow confine of chronic complaints and the consistent media blitz we might see a glimmer of truth. A ray of Life trying to send out a little light through a crack in the facade. Like that great Alien promo poster with the egg.
